Five Bridgewater-Raritan High School students were recognized for their fine art work at the Teen Arts Festival, held at Raritan Valley Community College on Tuesday, May 19.
The five student artists were selected for the Teen Arts Festival’s State, County, and Touring Exhibition.
“Overall, it was an excellent display of artwork from the high school,” said Jason Draine, an Art Teacher at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

A total of 94 students participated in the Bridgewater-Raritan High School World Language Honor Society Induction Ceremony, held on Thursday, May 21. The Chinese, French, Italian, and Latin Honor Societies were involved in the ceremony in the high school auditorium.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s boys’ volleyball team is the Skyland Cup Champion for the third time in four years.
Second-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan, ranked 19th in the state, defeated top-seeded and eighth-ranked Hillsborough High School, 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 21-25, 28-26, 15-13), in the Skyland Cup final on Thursday, May 21, at Hillsborough High School

Various outside organizations shared their goals and objectives with students in the hallway outside the main cafeteria. Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s baseball team, seeded fifth, fell to top-seeded and defending-champion Immaculata High School, 7-6, in the semifinals of the Somerset County Tournament on Monday, May 18, at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater. Immaculata erased a 6-4 deficit with three runs in the sixth inning to rally to the victory. Immaculata will meet second-seeded Watchung Hills Regional High School in the Somerset County final on Wednesday, May 20, at TD Bank Ballpark, the home of the Somerset Patriots.

Top-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s boys’ lacrosse team was defeated by second-seeded and defending-champion Gill. St. Bernard’s School, 8-6, in the Somerset County Tournament championship game on Saturday, May 16, at Somerville High School. Bridgewater-Raritan was seeking its eighth Somerset County title and first since 2018.
