The boys' swim team, the girls' swim team, and the ice hockey team, each of which captured a state championship this school year at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, were honored on Monday, August 10, when they received rings during a ceremony in the high school's auditorium
The boys’ and girls’ swim teams each won the Group A state championship on the same day and in the same pool at the Neptune Aquatic Center on February 25.
The Bridgewater-Raritan boys’ swim team, which is led by Head Coach Evan Seavey and Assistant Coach Max Newill, swam past its Somerset County rival, Hillsborough High School, 108-62, in the state final meet to cap its 12-0 season and win the program’s fifth state championship and first since 2018.
The Bridgewater-Raritan girls’ swim team, which is guided by Coach Chris Levine and Assistant Coach Laura Karns, ended the season with a 12-1 record when it defeated Cherry Hill High School East, 108-62, in the state championship meet and claimed the program’s sixth state title and first since 2019.
Bridgewater-Raritan won its first Public state championship in ice hockey when it defeated Ridgewood High School, 2-0, in the state final on Monday, March 9, at the Prudential Center in Newark, the home of the NHL New Jersey Devils.
The ice hockey team, led by Head Coach Vincent Arnone and Assistant Coach Steve Diamond, finished its historic season with a 23-3-1 record.

According to Kim Hart, a Special Services Teacher and the Advisor to Rhythm Alive at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, “the premiere showcase was a huge success!”
“The full ensemble numbers were expressive through dance and music. Solo numbers were specially choreographed by the performers themselves. The club includes a design team that manages artwork, costuming, stage tech, and more,” Ms. Hart said.
According to the Bridgewater-Raritan High School website, Rhythm Alive is a club where all types of musical expression come together. Members might learn new dance moves, practice their vocal skills, and collaborate on writing songs or forming a band. It's a community for anyone passionate about music and performance, whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist

Bridgewater-Raritan seniors Josh Baron, Rafan Khan, Malav Patel, and Mohit Srinivasan formed Team Mojo Dojo Casa House and earned their spot against New Jersey’s top cybersecurity students by tackling over 130 CTF challenges and competing in a real-life ransomware simulation.
The Garden State CTF finals were held in person on May 27 at The College of New Jersey, in conjunction with the Garden State Cyber Summit, a professional development conference for teachers of Cybersecurity in New Jersey
According to Ken Mascola, the CyBR Hacks Club Advisor, Josh Baron, Rafan Khan, Malav Patel, and Mohit Srinivasan did an excellent job representing CyBR Hacks and Bridgewater-Raritan High School throughout this competition and were awarded silver medals and swag bags from NJCCIC.
“They reflected on the event, stating that it was an amazing experience and an opportunity to learn new skills throughout the competition. This experience has provided them with real-life challenges that can propel them into a cybersecurity career. Rafan Khan is also excited to be part of NJCCIC's junior internship program this summer,” Mr. Mascola said.
Current students interested in Cybersecurity are welcome to join the CyBR Hacks club and should look for course opportunities, including Cybersecurity 1, Cybersecurity 2, AP Cybersecurity, and AP Computer Science Principles.
A total of 12 teams participated in single-elimination brackets. Teams played to 21 points.
Youda Zheng and Xuetong Yin were members of the championship team, called Team Allllll!
The runner-up was Team Birdies of a Feather, which consisted of Harrison Wong and Nick Tozzi.
