Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s baseball team, seeded fifth, fell to top-seeded and defending-champion Immaculata High School, 7-6, in the semifinals of the Somerset County Tournament on Monday, May 18, at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater. Immaculata erased a 6-4 deficit with three runs in the sixth inning to rally to the victory. Immaculata will meet second-seeded Watchung Hills Regional High School in the Somerset County final on Wednesday, May 20, at TD Bank Ballpark, the home of the Somerset Patriots.
Top-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s boys’ lacrosse team was defeated by second-seeded and defending-champion Gill. St. Bernard’s School, 8-6, in the Somerset County Tournament championship game on Saturday, May 16, at Somerville High School. Bridgewater-Raritan was seeking its eighth Somerset County title and first since 2018.

Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District student-athletes from the High School, Middle School, Eisenhower Intermediate School, and Bradley Gardens Primary School participated in the Somerset County Special Olympics on Saturday, May 9, at Manville High School
.The mothers were able to create a connecting sunflower canvas with their families with their own style, standing out from one another.
With instructors Nana Esq., Oliver Martinez, and Suza Lu, the families successfully followed instructions to create a beautiful sunflower piece.
Many NAHS members were in attendance as well, helping by serving brunch to the families, selling Mother’s Day bookmarks and cards, and walking around offering help to people who needed it. Overall, the mothers and their families enjoyed the day, and NAHS is happy to have given them a memorable keepsake.
Children of the faculty were welcomed into the classrooms and joined their parents for a day of learning, observation, and fun. Throughout the day, teachers’ children had the opportunity to experience a school day at the high school, sitting in on lessons and participating in activities.
For current students, classrooms felt more lively and interactive as they had the opportunity to meet the children of their teachers. Faculty incorporated fun activities to make the experience enjoyable fo the children, including making bookmarks and fingerprints, extracting DNA from strawberries, letter pressing, experiments, painting ornaments, gaming, an ice cream truck, friendship bracelet making, bucket drumming, boomwhacking, and many other activities throughout the campus. Additionally, fresh popcorn was available for the children throughout the day thanks to the Student Council’s popcorn machine, with around eighty bags handed out.
Over 100 children joined the high school for a memorable and rewarding day!

On Friday, March 27, at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, the Monday Band, which is Bridgewater-Raritan High School's competitive jazz band, earned a silver rating at its final competition.
According to Dr. Tom Bourgault, who is the high school’s Co-Band Director with Nick Mossa, senior Saraansh Rawat earned the OVERALL SOLOIST AWARD from the ENTIRE NIGHT of performances, which was given by over a dozen bands, for his tenor saxophone feature "Emily."
“Our rhythm section earned the title of Best Rhythm Section that night as well! Members of that section are Gabriel Faiella, Jay Fang, Gabriel Kim, Philip Nielson, Aaron Persky, Noah Roberts, and Shaant Sachdeva,” Dr. Bourgault reported.
Dr. Bourgault also stated that “aside from our last competition, two members of the Monday Band have earned spots in the NJAJE Region II Jazz ensembles: Jay Fang on piano and Olivia Strother on tenor saxophone.”
He added.
“A big final outing for our band students!”
