The fourth and final leg of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District’s 2025 Festival of the Arts was staged on Thursday, May 22, with the presentation of the Visual Arts Show.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s main cafeteria and small gym were transformed into art galleries that attracted an estimated crowd of 1,500 throughout the evening.

A spectacular gallery in the small gymnasium, as well as the outside hallways, featured the talents of many high school artists.. The cafeteria’s exhibit displayed the crafts done by more high school students, all the way down to the primary school artists. All 11 schools in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District were represented.

A spectacular collection of ceramic works was also on display.

Matt McCarthy, the District Supervisor for Arts Education, was among the crowd that evening.

“Our District visual arts staff put together a wonderful collection of student work,” Mr. McCarthy revealed. “So much time goes into preparing an exhibit like this. I am so grateful for the dedication and passion they bring to our District.”

Mr. McCarthy further marveled at the collection of fine artworks.

“The visual arts offer a unique format for exploring ideas. It is all about asking questions, experimentation, and the development of personal artistic voice,” he said. “The hard work students have put into developing these skills was on full display.”

The 2025 Festival of the Arts presented the Chorus Concert, the Orchestra Concert, and the Band Concert during the month of March at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
