The choir students from the Eisenhower Intermediate School and the Hillside Intermediate School are building the groundwork for a bright future.
They formed forces in what may develop into a partnership on the morning of Thursday, May 22, when they performed before staff, family and friends in the annual Spring Sing at Eisenhower’s gymnasium.
The concert, which merged the students together in the bleachers, will not only send off the end of the school year but will signal the start of a new team when these students enter the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School in September.
That formation between the two intermediate schools in the school district is a prime reason for this concert.
“The Spring Sing is a wonderful cross-town collaboration,” said Tony Sgro, Hillside’s dynamic and dedicated Choral Director. “This is an important concert because these students will build the foundation to support the school district’s goals for the choral program.”
Participating in conducting during the Spring Sing were Eisenhower’s Choral Directors/ Maddy Kaminsky and Christine Nevill, as well as Hillside Choral Teacher Danielle Kida.
Also on hand at the Spring Sing was the ensuing teacher for these students—-Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School Choral Director Gabriele Hingelberg.
Ms. Hingelberg, who conducted one of the pieces during the Spring Sing, was fresh off of directing the Middle School Spring Concert that was performed on Wednesday evening, May 21.
