Fifteen Bridgewater-Raritan High School students were inducted into the Thespian Honor Society, Troupe No. 5154, on Tuesday, September 15.
This prestigious ceremony was held in the Bridgewater-Raritan High School auditorium, where these students will perform on stage.
According to Heather Diaforli-Day, who is the Director of the high school’s Theatre Arts program, the International Thespian Society (ITS) is an honorary organization that recognizes high school students for their dedication, achievement, and excellence in theatre. Through service, leadership, performance, and technical theatre, Thespian members celebrate the collaborative spirit of theatre while supporting and strengthening their school and theatre community.
Ms. Diaforli-Day reported that the induction ceremony took place during the society’s Kick-Off meeting for the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Theatre Arts, which was attended by an estimated 70 students, including 35 members of Troupe No. 5154.
This school year’s edition of the highly acclaimed Theatre Arts program will begin with the Fall Theatre Soiree on Thursday, October 22, and then the always-popular Fall Play from Thursday, December 3, through Saturday, December 5. This year’s Fall Play is the legendary A Christmas Carol.
