BRHS student council wins state award

The Student Council at Bridgewater-Raritan High School is Excellent.

Proof of that statement came on Monday, June 1, when the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Student Council achieved a prestigious award—the Excellence Award.

According to Michele Mammone and Sarah Cleary, who lead this award-winning Student Council at Bridgewater-Raritan High School as the dedicated Co-Advisors, these students accomplished the biggest feat any student council in New Jersey could achieve when the group received the Excellence Award during a state-wide ceremony on June 1 at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township.

“Months and months of planning, interviewing, and applying culminated in a beautiful Monday morning at Six Flags, where they presented awards to the entire state,” Ms. Mammone and Ms. Cleary reported.

They further explained the elite recognition.

“Bridgewater-Rartan was one of the few names called to receive the incredible distinction; they came home with a State Charity Award, donating $1,000 to Crisis Response Canines and a Community Smiles Award, focused on community service and uplifting the people around us. Huge congratulations to the incredible council!”
