Boots on floor

They danced so they could enjoy a future dance.

Boots on the Floor, a community line-dancing fundraiser, brought together students, families, staff, and community members for an evening of fun with a purpose to Bridgewater-Raritan High School on Friday evening, March 13.

The high school’s small gym served as the dance floor, where a large turnout danced.

According to Carey Marago, an Instructional Assistant at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, the event was organized to raise funds for the school’s Unified Prom, a special prom experience designed specifically for students in the Autism and Multiple Disabilities programs.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Unified Prom will be held later this spring.

“The goal of the event was to ensure that every student has the opportunity to attend a prom celebration created with their needs in mind,” Ms. Marago said.

She added:

“Proceeds from the evening will help make this memorable and meaningful event possible.”
