Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s boys’ swim team, ranked No. 1 in New Jersey, delivered a dominating performance when the state Meet of Champions races were held on Sunday, March 1, at Gloucester County Institute of Technology in Sewell.

Bridgewater-Raritan, which won the Group A state team championship on Wednesday, February 25, captured gold medals in five of the 11 events at the Meet of Champions.

Chris Wasko won two individual events and was part of two winning relay teams, while his Bridgewater-Raritan teammate, Jaden Lee, claimed gold in one individual race and was on two winning relay teams.

Wasko set a school record when he won the 50 freestyle in 20.38, and he also finished first in the 100 free in 45.23. Lee won the 200 individual medley in 1:49.42.

Wasko, Lee, Marvellous Suciayahdi, and Aaron Roy teamed up to set a state Meet of Champions record and school record, swimming to a 1:31.02 to win the 200 medley relay.

Lee, Wasko, Roy and Gregory Rydberg were members of the 400 freestyle relay team that won the state championship in 3:03.64.
