winter guard event

A field of 43 teams will perform when the Bridgewater-Raritan Winter Guard Competition is scheduled on Saturday, March 7.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Winter Guard will serve as the host to the annual Mid Atlantic Indoor Network (MAIN) Competition in the high school’s Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium.

The spacious gym at Bridgewater-Raritan High School will be put to good use when these 43 Winter Guard teams from all corners of New Jersey, and a few from New York and Pennsylvania, perform.

The loaded schedule will be capped when Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Winter Guard is scheduled at 8:22 p.m.

A busy day will be coordinated by Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Co-Band Directors, Nick Mosssa and Dr. Tom Bourgault, as well as a dedicated, tireless group known as the Bridgewater-Raritan Band Parents Association.

“Bridgewater-Raritan and the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Band Parent Association are so proud to host the MAIN Mid-Season Competition at Bridgewater-Raritan High School,” Mr. Mossa said. “Indoor color guard is a true marriage of athleticism and artistic performance that is hard to find anywhere else, and our winter guard is so proud to welcome over 40 visiting teams to enjoy performing and competing at our event.”

Stephanie Singer, the Event Coordinator for the Bridgewater-Raritan Band Parents Association, and her fellow parents are the driving force behind this large and always successful event held at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

The event will be launched at 12:30 p.m. at Bridgewater-Raritan High School and will wrap up with an awards ceremony at 9 p.m.

Mr. Mossa concluded.

“We're extremely proud of our winter guard this season and look forward to their performance for a highly enthusiastic home crowd.”
