Parents and guardians of present-day 8th Grade students received a valuable—and informative–lesson on the evening of Tuesday, February 10.
The event was the 8th Grade Parent Night, sponsored annually by the administrators and counselors at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
This session, once again, drew a large turnout as parents and guardians filled the high school’s newly refurbished auditorium.
The instructors during this program included Principal Dan Hemberger of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Alan Iachini, the high school’s Supervisor of School Counseling, and other administrators and school counselors.
“Parent Night was a great kickoff for the course scheduling season at Bridgewater-Raritan High School,” Principal Hemberger said. “This is the first presentation that middle school parents see for their students who are transitioning to the high school next year.”
Principal Hemberger continued to share the valuable context that these guests absorbed.
“They were as wide-eyed as their children. Several counselors presented about all of our programs, the process for selecting courses for next year, including the new additions, and provided a lot of helpful information to parents to help support their students' transition to the high school,” Principal Hemberger stated.
He concluded:
“The presentation itself was just under an hour, but the question-and-answer session afterward was just as vibrant.”
