The Bridgewater-Raritan Theatre Arts program excels on stage and off stage.
Off stage, this vibrant program is supported by the devoted Bridgewater-Raritan Theatre Parent Organization.
Under the guidance of Karen D’Aloisio, in her first year as president of the Theatre Parent Organization, the group is focusing on fundraising to support Theatre Arts students at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
“We are looking to support the program as much as possible, and with a show as exciting as Little Shop of Horrors, the need is greater for props, costumes, etc. We strongly believe that when people support with donations, they should get something in return,” said Ms. D’Aloisio, who is an 8th Grade Math Teacher at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Theatre Arts will present the high school’s spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors, on April 16-18 in the high school auditorium.
So, Bingo, an idea was born.
Ms. D’Aloisio explained the Bingo Night fundraiser, scheduled for Friday, March 13. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the main cafeteria at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
“We came up with the idea of a fun night out to raise money for the program, which participants could enjoy and would also integrate our love of music and the theatre! This will be a lively event filled with music, games, and prizes! “
Ms. D’Aloisio, who also serves as the Financial Treasurer for the Bridgewater-Raritan Education Association, the union that represents staff members in the school district, described what is on tap.
“We will also have a 50-50 and a basket raffle. We have some amazing donations from places like Girasole, Gabriel's Fountain, Carlo's Pizza, Barry's Appliances, Mana Yoga, Yestercades, Prima Pizza, Salted Lime, and much more!”
