A total of 27 Bridgewater-Raeitan High School students were honored when they were accepted to the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Region Ensembles.

These Bridgwater-Raritan High School honorees were 12 choir students, 10 band students and four orchestra students.

The students will now move forward to participate in CJMEA region performances.

The Region Choir Concert will be on Sunday, January 25, at Rutgers University's Nicholas Music Center. The concert will begin at 3 p.m.

According to Lisa Rotondi, Director of Choirs at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, the event at Rutgers will feature renowned professionals in the field of choral music.

“The CJMEA is thrilled to welcome Dr. Arreon Harley-Emerson, the Founder and Artistic Director of Elevate Vocal Arts and Professor of Choral Music at Pennsylvania State University, as the conductor of the Mixed Chorus and Ms. Nicole Snodgrass, the Choral Director at Ursinus College, as our conductor of the Treble Chorus,” she reported.

Nick Mossa, the Co-Director of Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Band program, with Dr.Tom Bourgault, revealed the schedule and conductors for the CJMEA Region Band concert on Sunday, January 18, at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

“Students in the CJMEA Region Wind Ensemble will be conducted by Dr. Thomas McCauley, director of bands at Montclair State University and the CJMEA Symphonic Band will be conducted by Dr. Patricia Cornett, director of bands at Temple University,” Mr. Mossa said.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School will serve as the host site for the CJMEA Region Orchestra Festival on Wednesday, February 24. This showcase will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
