Michele Kussmaul’s 10th Grade students took a first-hand look at safe driving while standing outside of Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
During their Driver’s Education class, the students and Ms. Kussmaul, who is a Health and Physical Education Teacher, made their way outside and stood on the Bridgewater-Raritan High School grounds while observing vehicles driving on Garretson Road on the morning of Monday, September 29.
Ms. Kussmaul explained the mission.
"We took to the campus to explore and study road signs as part of their driver safety curriculum. Students observed various traffic signs and markings around the school, including speed limits, parking signs, and pavement markings,” Ms.. Kussmaul said.
She added:
“They also evaluated driving behaviors, noting proper and improper actions such as the use of turn signals and adherence to speed limits by passing vehicles.”
