Lucia Bolle is an emerging artist at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
So much so that this emerging artist was recognized by the Emerging Artists Art Administrators of New Jersey (AANJ) Art Show at Kean University in February.,
Lucia, a sophomore at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, received the prestigious honor of High Merit for her piece titled "The Show,” during the awards ceremony that was held in the Vaughn Eames Gallery on the campus in Union.
According to the AANJ, High Merit award winners qualify to move on to nominations to receive the elite New Jersey Governor's Award this spring.
Lucia continued to rack up the awards for her creative and gifted artworks.
She was accepted in March into the 2025 National Art Education Association (NAEA) National Art Honor Society (NAHS)/National Junior Art Honor Society (NJAHS) Juried Exhibition.
Lucia won the overall Best-in-Show for the painting category in the Juried Exhibition.
“This prestigious award is given to the artwork with the highest score in each category—a remarkable achievement that reflects their artistic excellence,” stated Paula Liz, the Youth and Preservice Program Manager for the National Art Education Association. “Being accepted into the 2025 NAEA NAHS/NJAHS Juried Exhibition is a testament to their dedication, passion, and creativity. We are excited to recognize their success and the inspiration they bring to our vibrant arts community!”
