Bragging rights came down to the final set.
That third set was when a team of Bridgewater-Raritan High School students scored a tight 27-25 victory over the high school’s staff members on Friday, February 28.
The Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium was the site for the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Student Council’s 4th Student vs. Staff Volleyball Game.
According to Michele Mammone, who is the Student Council Co-Advisor with Sarah Cleary, an estimated crowd of 100 attended the games.
The students captured the first set and then the staff tied the game with a victory in the second to set u the third and decisive match.
Ms.Mammone reported that proceeds from the game will be sent to the New Jersey Association of Student Council’s state charity, Ava's Voice, which empowers youth with Usher syndrome and educates families and school communities.
