High school's Theater Arts showered with awards

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Theater Arts continued to live up to its reputation for success.

That statement is supported by the recent pouring in of awards and accolades bestowed upon the Bridgewater-Raritan High School students and staff.

Teresa Gunning, who serves as a Director of the Bridgewater Raritan High School Theater Arts with her husband Tom and Heather Diaflori-Day, happily reported the awards and recognition. 

Here are the elite awards presented to Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

Tim Gaffney was named to the 2024 inaugural class of the New Jersey All-State Thespian by the New Jersey chapter of the International Thespian Society for his dedication and work to high school theater.

Tim, a senior, has been active in the theater since his freshman at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. He has participated in 10 productions since his freshman year, including two this school year—-” Godspell” and “The Dining Room.”

He was selected for his All-State award in January and received his award in April. Tim plans to study Theater in the fall at Muhlenberg  College in Pennsylvania. He’ll also include a concentration study in Directing.

April also featured recognition from two high-profile organizations—-the Montclair State University Theater Night Awards Nominations and the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards Nominations.

The Montclair State University’s Theater Night Awards nominations were announced during the second week of April.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School received news of its recognition from the  Paper Mill Playhouse, which is located in Millburn, on April 29.
