County boys' soccer champion boasts four All- Skyland honorees

Four boys' soccer players who sparked Bridgewater-Raritan to the Somerset County Tournament championship this fall were honored by selections to the Skyland Conference's All-Delaware Division First Team.

 Logan Neno, a junior midfielder who led Bridgewater-Raritan with 10 goals and also collected three assists, and senior midfielder Chris McKinney, who connected on eighth goals and recorded three assists, are joined on the honors' team by two of the top defenders for the anthers, junior midfielder Jake Winchock and senior back Aidan Costa.

Four other Panther players were selected to the All-Delaware Division's Second Team---Zach Halpin, Jan Morales, Dylan Neno and Juan Orozco. Jake Cronell received Honorable Mention honors 

Bridgewater-Raritan followed its Somerset County title with a 5-1 victory over Linden High School in the opening round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 state sectional tournament.

The Panthers did had their season come to an end when Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School advanced in the quarterfinals by outscoring visiting Bridgewater-Raritan on penalty kicks on Halloween. The two powers had battled to a 1-1 draw after regulation and overtime

That result left Bridgewater-Raritan with a final record of 12-1-4. The Panthers were ranked as high as No. 6 in the state by nj.com during the season.
