Update - COVID-19 - Day 6- Infinite Opportunity - 3/23/2020

Members of the B-R Community,

Today was  an incredible demonstration of our spirit. I was contacted by so many friends and colleagues who are not a part of BRRSD, but were excited or inspired by what they saw us doing.  It was exciting to be a part of, and it was fun. I am eager to see how you tackle tomorrow’s challenge. 

Tell us what you love about distance learning:  Share something you’ve learned; Share a project you’ve completed; Share what is working well; Share the fun you are having.

I know that this has not been perfect. Rolling out one system to meet the needs of 8,500 wonderfully, unique students and their families is difficult at best. But you all have done an incredible  job! Your participation, your energy, your flexibility and your calm have been just as important as our teachers’ plans and technology. Please continue to work with us as we get better, each and every day.

If we have learned anything after one week of distance learning, it is that we are in a universe of infinite opportunity. We could let the challenge overwhelm us. We could look at infinite as simply too much. Or, we can welcome the challenge, we can work together, learn from each attempt, stay positive and confident in ourselves. We simply have to choose to try. 

Here is to an incredible week of learning and spirit. I hope to see your contributions. 

We are encouraging everyone at home during this distance learning to participate: students, staff, families, alumni, parents of alumni, and members of the larger BRRSD community.

Make it fun. Be creative. Remember that you are celebrating our community, which means you are representing our district. Please keep all posts appropriate for school and representative of B-R.

• Attendance must be submitted each day by 10 a.m. with our Attendance Form.
